Dear friends, the Bible by
itself, does not save you. A lot of people read the Bible and do Bible study,
and they study the scriptures, yet they never come to the knowledge of the One
who inspired what is written in there. God is alive, and Jesus is risen. And
the Bible can help us, because it points to Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit, who
has spoken to the people , before, to the prophets, has inspired the holy
scriptures. It is like a snap picture of God. But then dear friends, we need to
go to God Himself, and we need to have a personal, intimate and close
relationship with Him. We need to fellowship with God, have the Holy Spirit,
spend time with them, pray. And this is what truly nourishes our spirits. It is
when we have that closeness with God. And that doesn't mean that we necessarily
have to read the Bible all the time. The Bible can help us if we want to get
close to Jesus, but then we need to truly have a close relationship with Jesus.
Pray to Him and hear His voice. A lot of Christians do Bible study, but they
don't have time for Jesus, spend time with Him, to pray. And life without
prayer, it's completely useless and empty. If we don't have close relationship
with God, then we are not walking with Him. We are not walking and abiding with
the Holy Spirit, and that means we are in danger. What gives us the light of
Christ is the Holy Spirit, and that takes dedication and commitment, denying
ourselves daily. A weekly Bible study will not do anything. It can even be
detrimental, because some people think that they're safe just because they do
these Christian things. But dear friends, it's all about walking closely with
God, having a relationship with Him, and letting Him guide us every day. We
need to have that relationship with Christ and be close to Him. And it's not
always easy. The devil will try to distract us every day. And his favorite
ways, especially with effective Christians, is to distract them with the world,
with the cares of this life, with the worries of this life. Dear friends, we
need to always have that close relationship worth Jesus, who is alive, and then
the Holy Spirit will give us peace, joy, and then we can truly continue with
Him, because He will help us remain on that narrow way. We need God, and we
need the Holy Spirit every day. Dear friends, this is our guarantee that we all
