Blessed are Those Who Hear the Word of God and Keep it!
I read from Luke chapter 11 verse 27 and 28.
27And it happened, as He spoke these things, that a certain woman from the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, “Blessed is the womb that bore You, and the breasts which nursed You!”
28But He said, “More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”
It is not enough for us to enter heaven by just being born into a Christian family, or by going to church on Sunday, or saying a prayer when we were eight years old. We have to hear the word of Jesus Christ, but then keep it all the days of our life. We have to endure with Jesus to the very end of our life. Jesus has already completed His work on the cross, but now the choice is ours. If we will do our work, the work of repentance, the work of obedience, the work of loyalty to Jesus. Will we honor Him with our words and our actions, or will we play the Christian hypocrite who thinks that they're going to heaven simply because we were born into a Christian household? May the grace of Jesus be with you.
