Brothers and sisters in the Lord, if you want to follow Jesus Christ, you have to follow in His footsteps. And as we know, Jesus Himself was baptized, so we also have to follow Jesus in water baptism and then be filled with the Holy Spirit. I read from Matthew chapter three.13Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him. 14And John tried to prevent Him, saying, “I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?” 15But Jesus answered and said to him, “Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he allowed Him.
We also need to be baptized in water. Because we want to fulfill all righteousness and follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ. I encourage you to be baptized if you're being compelled to follow Jesus Christ, that you may also be like the Lord Jesus in everything that He did and everything that He is doing. We want to be molded to His image, and in everything, we want to follow in His footsteps. May the grace of Jesus be with you.
