When Jesus Will Return and Why Other Dates Have Been Wrong

One question that many Christians have is, when will Jesus return, and why hasn't he returned yet? Over the years, there have been Christians who have predicted when Jesus would return. But what they all have in common is they have all been wrong. The date came and now is a day in the past. I, for one, am glad that none of those dates were the real date that Jesus returned, because I was not ready yet. And maybe you will be glad that the next date that is predicted to come will also not be the date that Jesus comes. Because perhaps you are also not ready yet. The reason why we are still here is because the body of Christ is still being purged from sin. We are still being purified. I want to read to you from Revelation chapter six.
"9When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held. 10And they cried with a loud voice, saying, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?” 11Then a white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed."
Let me submit to you that we have already died. If we are disciples of Jesus Christ, we are dead to the flesh, dead to sin. We have put down into the grave our old lives and we have been born again. We are born again Christians. We belong to Jesus Christ. And we are waiting for our fellow brothers and sisters who have not died to their sins yet, to die to this world of sin that they may also come into the marvellous light with Jesus. That is what we are waiting for. Pray for the brothers and sisters that will come to the Lord that will be saved. Pray for the body of Christ. May the grace of Jesus be with you.
