基督徒之间经常争论“什么是罪？”诸如:女人剪头发有错吗？你能吃猪肉吗？你必须遵守安息日吗？女人可以穿裤子，男人的衣服吗？喝酒有错吗？亲爱的朋友们，每一件我们不是为了荣耀耶稣而做的事情，都是罪。因为如果你是耶稣基督的追随者，那你已经将自己的生命都献给他了，你已经做出了承诺。你说“主，从今往后，我活着只想荣耀你。”如果你做什么不荣耀上帝的事情，那就是罪。
当你就食物或衣服或无论什么事论断你的弟兄姐妹时，那也是罪。正如保罗说的，我从罗马书14:4开始读，他说：“你是谁，竟论断别人的仆人呢？他或站住或跌倒，自有他的主人在；而且他也必要站住，因为主能使他站住。”亲爱的朋友，我们在基督里的弟兄或姐妹不是我们的仆人，他们属于耶稣基督，耶稣会凭公义审判我们所有的人。我们必须确保我们在审判那天是合格的。我接下往下读，罗马书14:10，他说：“10你这个人，为什么论断弟兄呢？又为什么轻看弟兄呢？因我们都要站在上帝的台前。 11经上写着：
“主说：‘我凭着我的永生起誓：
万膝必向我跪拜；
万口必向我承认。’”
12这样看来，我们各人必要将自己的事在上帝面前说明。”亲爱的朋友，亲爱的朋友们，我们每个人都要为我们所做的和没有做的，为我们忽略了做我们应该做的事而向上帝交待。
因此，我们必须小心自己怎样生活，我们自己做什么，我们必须战战兢兢地活出得救后应有的生命。我们必须时常问耶稣，"主啊，请让我知道，你对我满意吗？" 让我们宁可安静下来，多多祷告，不要互相论断，而是说："主啊，我想在你面前变得纯洁。我不想在审判日感到羞愧"。我们每个人都必须确保，他在上帝面前有正确的姿态。保罗在罗马书14:20中写道："不可因食物毁坏上帝的工程。凡物固然洁净，但有人因食物叫人跌倒，就是他的罪了。 21无论是吃肉是喝酒，是什么别的事，叫弟兄跌倒，一概不做才好。 22你有信心，就当在上帝面前守着。人在自己以为可行的事上能不自责，就有福了。 23若有疑心而吃的，就必有罪，因为他吃不是出于信心。凡不出于信心的都是罪。
亲爱的朋友，让我们每个人都在自己的心中确定，耶稣对我现在所做的事情是满意的。我现在所做的一切，是为了上帝的荣耀吗？他满意吗？因为耶稣说，人要为自己所说的每一句闲话、每一个心思意念负责。如果你看一个女人，心里动了欲念，耶稣知道，你已经在心里犯了奸淫，他将根据你的心思意念来审判你。这就是门是多么狭窄。因此，亲爱的朋友们，让我们每个人都在圣灵的确认下心里确定，我们是耶稣所喜悦的。让我们确保我们每时每刻都警醒的生活，并记住我们都将站在上帝审判的宝座前。让我们成为耶稣所喜悦的人，彼此相爱。愿耶稣祝福你。
There is often debate amongst Christians about WHAT IS SIN? Things like: Is it wrong for a woman to cut her hair? Can you eat pork? Must you observe the Sabbath? Can a woman wear pants, men’s clothes? Is it wrong to drink wine? Dear friends, every thing that we do not do to glorify Jesus, that is SIN.
Because if you are a follower of Jesus Christ, then you have dedicated your life to Him, you made a promise. You said “Lord from today onwards, I want to live to glorify you.” And if you do something that does not glorify God, then that is a SIN.
When you judge your brother or your sister with regard to food or clothes or whatever, that is also a SIN. As Paul wrote, I read from Romans 14:4 He says: Who are you to judge the servant of another? To his own Master he stands or falls; and stand he will, for the Lord will make him stand."
Dear friend, our brother and sister in Christ are not our servants, they belong to Jesus and He will judge all of us righteously. And we must make sure that we do not fall short in that judgment day. I read further from Romans 14:10 He says: But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you again, why do you regard your brother with contempt? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of God. :11 For it is written, AS I LIVE, SAYS THE LORD, EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW TO ME, AND EVERY TONGUE SHALL GIVE PRAISE TO GOD." :12 So then each of us shall give account to himself to God.
Dear friends, each of us will give account to God for what we have done and for what we have not done, for what we omitted to do what we were suppose to be doing.
So we must be careful, how we live, what we do, ourselves, we must work out our salvation with fear and trembling. We must ask Jesus all the time, “to show ME, Lord, are You satisfied with me?” Let us rather be quiet and pray more and not judge each other but say “Lord, I want to be pure in Your sight. I do not want to be ashamed in the judgment day.” Each of us, must make sure, that he is in right standing with God. In Romans 14:20 Paul writes, Do not tear down the work of God for the sake of food. All things indeed are clean, but they are evil for the man who eats and gives offense. :21 It is good not to eat meat or to drink wine, or to do anything by which your brother stumbles. :22 The faith which you have, have as your own conviction before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves. :23 But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and whatever is not from faith is SIN.
Dear friend, let each of us, be in his own mind, convicted that Jesus is satisfied with what I am doing right now. Is whatever I am doing right now, to the glory of God? Does He approve of it? Because Jesus said for every IDLE WORD that man speaks, he will give account for every thought. If you look at a woman to lust after her, HE KNOWS, and you have already committed adultery in your heart and He will judge you according to your THOUGHT. That is how narrow the Door is. So dear friends, let each of us in our own hearts be sure, under confirmation of the Holy Spirit that we are pleasing to Jesus. Let us every moment make sure that we walk carefully, and remember that we will ALL stand before the judgment Throne of God. Let us be pleasing to Jesus and love each other. May Jesus bless you.
