Transcript: Chrisrianity is not about you being Comfortable

Dear brother and sister, to follow Jesus Christ is not about being comfortable. I'm saying this because a lot of Christians today, they think that if it's more comfortable, if they do a move, or if they go somewhere, that is more comfortable. That means this is what the will of God is. Dear friends, Jesus Christ did not call us to be comfortable. He said, in this world you will have tribulation. But to rejoice, because he has overcome. Dear friends, Jesus Christ will bring us to a place where it will not be easy sometimes. That doesn't mean that we have to look for places or situations where we will be uncomfortable, but we will have to be tuned into the Holy Spirit. And we will have to discern the will of God in order to follow Him. That takes prayer and getting alone with Him in order to discern His will for our lives. It's not about just having it easy and being comfortable.

A lot of people also think that God is speaking to them, while all they have is their own mind. It is their own thoughts that they are listening to, but they attribute these thoughts to God. It is not easy to discern the will of God sometimes, but we need to strive to differentiate between our own mind and the Spirit of God. We need to also understand the difference between the Spirit of God, the voice of God, and our emotions, feelings. Our feelings often do not fit with the will of God for our lives. Many people, many Christians, are led by their emotions. 

Dear friends, the Kingdom of God is about righteousness and holiness, and our King and Lord, Jesus Christ, is looking to use us to produce fruit for His kingdom. He said, every branch in me that bears fruit, he will prune in order for that branch to bear more fruit. If we want to be useful for the kingdom, we need to take that pruning from God. And it's not easy to be pruned. It means sometimes suffering, sacrifice. Are you ready, dear brother? Are you ready to be pruned? Are you ready to walk on that straight and narrow way? Or is it only about your comfort and security?

Each one of us needs to make sure that they're hearing the voice of God in order to be led by Him on the path that He prepared for us from the beginning. And may God bless you.
