Many people have got demons in them and that includes Christians. Christians are not immune against demons, my friends. If you have a compulsion or anything that controls you to the extent that you yourself are not in control anymore, then you have got a demon in you, my friend.
There are many Christians who are addicted. They are addicted to all kinds of substances, to prescription drugs, alcohol, tobacco and television. They are addicted to lust, the pleasures of the flesh pornography; they cannot get rid of it. They are addicted to sin. They will defend their sin, and will tell you, we are all sinners but they say they're Christians.
My friend, if the Son of God has set you free, you will be free indeed, but you need to want to be set free. If you want to serve the devil then he will come into you and he will take possession of you and you will have compulsions driving you. Any compulsion, whatever it is, that you cannot control, whether it be fear, anger, whatever it is, my friend, if you cannot control it, if you are out of control then you have allowed the devil to come into you and he has taken control and you are not in control anymore.
But Jesus can set you free, provided that you want to be to be set free. My friends there's only one way to please God and that is through utter obedience to Jesus Christ, but if you've allowed the devil to take control of you, and it happens, as many people say they cannot stop it, they cannot stop sinning, they believe the devil. They have got lying spirits in them. They believe the lies of the devil now. There are many people who have got religious spirits in them, that control them, they control their lives; they believe that they are saved, that because they know some scriptures, that now they are saved, because they can quote some scriptures they think they are saved, because they go to some church, but still they're addicted. They cannot live without the television, they cannot live without the desires of the flesh, they are caught in their own vices, in their own desires, my friends. You've got a demon in you if you cannot control yourself, then you are in bondage and you need to be set free.
The only way you're going to get set free, my friend, is if you go to Jesus. There are various levels of demon possession and oppression, some people are oppressed to the extent that they have no more control over their functions anymore and they end up in Psychological wards. That is demon oppression my friend and it is because people have often allowed those things into their lives. Some people have inherited these things they've been born with them. There are family curses on them generational curses on them, and these are have come with them since their birth. They've never been set free, my friend. Jesus Christ can set you free but you've got to want to be set free. You've got you want to to serve Jesus with all your heart.
What you've got to do is, submit yourself to God, go to Jesus submit yourself to Him. Say:"Lord I need You, I need to be delivered. Lord I want to be delivered. Please deliver me. I reject this and I reject this wickedness in me. I don't want it no more, it doesn't matter where it came from, where I'm allowed it in myself, whatever, I don't want it anymore." You have got to submit to God, repent of your sin, humble yourself before Jesus Christ, my friend. And then you have got to stand up against the devil, resist him and he will flee from you. Many Christians want God to deliver them. They say: "Lord take away this desire." My friend you've got to stand against that desire, you have got to renounce your own desire, you must stand against the flesh the desires of the flesh, you have got to kill them. You must ignore them and you must follow Jesus Christ, but it's your decision.
The Spirit of God will not compel you, the Spirit of God will not force you, not like a demon, not like a foul spirit, that many people have got, these blasphemous spirits in them, they say they have got blasphemous thoughts all the time. It's because you allowed it into you, you watch that filthy TV show and you you carry that TV into your house and all those things have got into your mind and now you are possessed by demons that make you blaspheme. You allowed it in, you you invited it into your life, my friend, and now you are a captive of satan. You've got to renounce it, take that TV and bash it. All those things that take you away from Jesus, that Xbox, all of those things that keep you away from Christ, the desires of the flesh, all these things that want you to satisfy yourself; just get rid of it, deny it, my friend, repent, what offends me is rejected, just get rid of it. If you don't do it, it's gonna kill you my friend.
If you want to go into heaven, you've got to obey Jesus Christ, 100-percent, you've got to be holy. God will forgive your sin, but if you carry on in sin, and if you love your sin, my friend, you don't love God. If you love Jesus you will obey Him, and then you get rid of sin, you repent of sin, you reject the devil, you stand against him, you rebuke him, and he will flee from you, Resist the devil and he will flee from you, but if you still love sin, if you still want to carry on with sin and if you're looking for verses in the Bible to justify you sin, then you don't love Jesus, my friend.If you want to follow Jesus, my friend, you've got to have the mind of Christ, you must deny yourself.
You ask Jesus to come into your heart and say:"Lord cleanse me, purify me purify my mind Lord, I submit to You" and the Holy Spirit of God will come into you, my friend, and He will guide you. He will not force you. It is not a demon, a demon compels you, puts a compulsion on you, forces you and addicts you, that's a demon. The Holy Spirit of God will speak to softly, the Spirit of God will not force you my friend, it will convict you, but you are still in the driver's seat. You have still got to make that decision. Jesus will not stop sinning for you, He will not take that desire away. You must kick the desire, you must get rid of it and then you decide to follow Jesus Christ You decide who you love. If you love Jesus you hate sin, you hate the devil you hate the flesh, and you love Christ, and you love everything that is from Him.
We must make the decision, my friend, but if we decide for the devil we are against God. That's why many Christians are demon-possessed, they still have their pet sins, they have the pet little demons that they carry along with them. My friend, get rid of it become obedient to Jesus Christ, from the heart and then resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Repent of those things, hate them, hate sin, hate the things of the flesh and love Jesus Christ and He will set you free, my friend, and you will walk in His presence. He will reveal Himself to you and you will know that Jesus is real, my friend. There's only one way to serve Jesus and that is to become a disciple, to love Him above all things, and to hate the devil, and the things of the flesh. If we love the world and the things of the world, then the love of Christ is not in us, my friends. We must make that decision and keep the devil out, we must embrace Jesus Christ, and He will deliver us, but we must make that decision, resist the devil and he will flee from us.
