我的梦:向宗教徒做见证 希伯来书8:8-12节 English Below
My Dream: Testifying to the Religious
Hebrews 8:8-12
In this dream, I was testifying to a passionate Christian woman I have known for a long time. She is someone who drives to church at 5:00 a.m. every day for prayer meetings and has zealously offered the home she worked hard to build for small group gatherings. She has immense passion for the Lord, yet she has been deceived by "religion." In my dream, the Holy Spirit gave me Hebrews 8:8-12 and instructed me to testify and preach the true Gospel to her. Upon waking, I studied the passage:
"The days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah... I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my
people. No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the gre atest..."
In the misunderstanding of religious believers, they think that knowing God must happen through a pastor—that they need a mediator to bring them to Him. But the Lord says the New Covenant is one where He knows us directly and we know Him directly, not through the mediation of others.
Today, some churchgoers accused me of taking scriptures out of context and trying to lure people away from the church. In truth, I am not pulling people out; I am telling them to go toward Jesus and establish a direct relationship with Him. The Holy Spirit gave me another word to confirm my testimony: "Come out from among them."
I found this in 2 Corinthians 6:14-18:
"Do not be yoked together with unbelievers... What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God... Therefore, 'Come out from them and be separate,' says the Lord. 'Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.'"
After this dream last night, I received a letter this afternoon from my former pastor—a man well-versed in the Bible. He wrote to "teach" me about salvation and sin, expressing concern that I had gone astray. I thank the Lord for giving me the opportunity to testify to him.
My Reply to the Pastor:
"Hi Barry, thank you very much for your concern. I also thank you for baptizing me, which helped me understand what it means to truly die to the world and live for Christ. Jesus has given me His Holy Spirit to guide and teach me, just as He promised in John 16:13: 'When he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth.' The Lord has given me His Spirit to instruct me. This is why, in a dream last night, He gave me Hebrews 8:8-12 to testify for Him. This passage declares that we shall all know Him personally, without the need for others to teach us. Indeed, when I lived in China, it was the Lord who pulled me out of various churches to teach me Himself.
For a long time, I was blinded by the devil’s lies and did not take sin seriously. I thought we would continue to sin until the day we died. But after my baptism, the Holy Spirit awakened me with the words: 'Stop sinning.' I realized I was not living a holy life. Jesus said in Mark 9:47 that if your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out—it is better to enter the Kingdom with one eye than to be thrown into hell with two. Hell is no joke; life is no game. I pleaded for the Holy Spirit’s help, and He gave me the power to overcome the most stubborn sins in my life.
I now know that those who truly follow the Lord must stop sinning. Salvation is by grace, but it is not a 'once-and-for-all' event; it is a journey of enduring with Jesus to the end. It means denying oneself and taking up the cross daily. Can those who refuse to obey His words truly be saved? It is not a 'sinner’s prayer' that saves us, but our intimate fellowship with Him. He said, 'Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me.' If we only love Him with our lips while continuing in lawlessness, He will say, 'I never knew you.' I know you write to me out of love, and I reply in love as well. I have met the real Lord, and He teaches me daily. Please do not worry. May the Lord bless you!"
The Aftermath and the Spirit's Work
A few days later, this kind, orthodox pastor sent two full screens of scripture to "prove" to me that we are still saved even while continuing to sin. He claimed that saying one does not sin is a lie. At that moment, the Holy Spirit told me clearly: "They are of the synagogue of Satan." It is hard to reconcile a smiling, friendly pastor with such a statement, but I believe the Spirit.
That same day, without any prior communication from me, the Holy Spirit moved through Andy (a brother in Christ) to release two videos regarding church leadership and the nature of a true church. I had never spoken to Andy about my conversation with the pastor, but the Holy Spirit worked in harmony to confirm the truth.
This day felt like a storm—attacks, persecutions, and opportunities to testify. I thank the Lord for it all. I am going to pray now, and I hope to write down more testimonies of prayer soon.
