Have you ever wondered why God's children are often poor, oppressed, sick, and in need?
你有没有想过，为什么上帝的儿女常常遭受贫穷、受欺压、病痛和处于困境中？
Has it ever bothered you?
这曾让你困扰过吗？
Dear friends, there is a reason for that.
亲爱的朋友，这是有原因的。
Because Jesus did not come for the rich and the wealthy and those who have no need.
因为耶稣不是为有钱人、有权人和那些不缺乏的人而来的。
He came for the poor, the sick, the captives, the oppressed.
祂是为穷人、生病的人、被掳掠的和受欺压的人而来的。
I read from Luke 4:17, "And the book of the prophet Isaiah was handed to Him.
路加福音4章17节：17 有人把先知以赛亚的书交给祂；
And He opened the book and found the place where it was written,
耶稣展开书，找到上面记着的地方。
'The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor.
18 书上写着：“主的灵在我身上，因为祂用膏膏我，叫我传福音给贫穷的人，
He has sent Me to proclaim release to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free those who are downtrodden,
差遣我报告被掳的得释放，瞎眼的得看见，叫那受压制的得自由，
to proclaim the favorable year of the Lord.'"
19 报告上帝悦纳人的禧年。”
Dear friends, that is why Jesus came.
亲爱的朋友们，这就是耶稣来的原因。
He came for the poor, He came for the oppressed.
祂是为穷人而来，祂是为受欺压的人而来。
A rich man has no need for God.
富人不需要上帝。
A person who is healthy does not need a doctor.
健康的人不需要医生。
They don't need Jesus.
他们不需要耶稣。
They will not call on Him.
他们不会呼求祂。
Jesus also said, I read from Luke 6:20,
路加福音6章20节，耶稣也说过，
"And turning His gaze on His disciples, He began to say,
20 耶稣举目看着门徒说：
'Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the Kingdom of God.
“你们贫穷的人有福了！因为上帝的国是你们的。
Blessed are you who hunger now, for you shall be satisfied.
21 你们饥饿的人有福了！因为你们将要饱足。
Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh.
你们哀哭的人有福了！因为你们将要喜笑。
Blessed are you when men hate you, and ostracize you, and insult you, and spurn your name as evil, for the sake of the Son of Man.
22 人为人子恨你们、拒绝你们、辱骂你们、弃掉你们的名为恶的时候，你们就有福了！
Be glad in that day and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven.
23 当那日，你们要欢喜跳跃，因为你们在天上的赏赐是大的。
For in the same way their fathers used to treat the prophets.
他们的祖宗待先知也是这样。
But woe to you who are rich, for you are receiving your comfort in full.
24 但你们富足的人有祸了！因为你们受过你们的安慰。
Woe to you who are well-fed now, for you shall be hungry.
25 你们饱足的人有祸了！因为你们将要饥饿。
Woe to you who laugh now, for you shall mourn and weep.
你们喜笑的人有祸了！因为你们将要哀恸哭泣。
Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for in the same way their fathers used to treat the false prophets.'"
26 人都说你们好的时候，你们就有祸了！因为他们的祖宗待假先知也是这样。
I also read the words of James 2:5, "Listen, my beloved children:
我再读一读雅各书2章5节：5 我亲爱的弟兄们，请听！
did not God choose the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the Kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?
上帝岂不是拣选了世上的贫穷人，叫他们在信上富足，并承受祂所应许给那些爱祂之人的国吗？
But you have dishonored the poor man.
6 你们反倒轻慢贫穷人。
Is it not the rich who oppress you and personally drag you into court?
那富足人岂不是欺压你们、拉你们到公堂去吗？
Do they not blaspheme the fair Name by which you have been called?"
7 他们不是亵渎你们被称的那美名吗？
Dear friends, so many people have experienced just that.
亲爱的朋友们，很多人都经历过那些情况。
When they started following Jesus, their life fell apart, fell to pieces.
当他们开始跟随耶稣时，他们的生活崩溃了，支离破碎。
They maybe lost their jobs, everything went wrong in their lives.
他们可能失去了工作，生活中的一切都出了问题。
There is a reason for that.
这是有原因的。
And that is that God perfects us through suffering.
原因是上帝借着苦难来使我们得以完全。
If we have no pain, if we have no need, then we have no need for God.
如果我们没有痛苦，如果我们没有需求，那么我们就不需要上帝。
And even Jesus Himself was perfected through suffering.
甚至连耶稣自己也是借着苦难得以完全。
We read in the Book of Hebrews 5:8,
我们在希伯来书5章8节读到：
"Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from the things which He suffered.
8 祂虽然为儿子，还是因所受的苦难学了顺从。
And having been made perfect, He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation."
9 祂既得以完全，就为凡顺从祂的人，成了永远得救的根源。
Dear friends, God perfects us through suffering,
亲爱的朋友们，上帝通过苦难来让我们变得完全，
and that is why He takes His children through suffering, so that they can learn to trust Him.
这就是为什么祂带领祂的儿女经历苦难，好让他们学会信靠祂。
God does not spoil His children. A spoiled child is good for nothing.
上帝不会宠坏祂的孩子。被宠坏的孩子一无是处。
God does not spoil us but He perfects us through suffering.
上帝不会宠坏我们，而是通过苦难来完全我们。
He treats us harshly to teach us to be worthy children of God.
祂严厉对待我们，是为了教我们成为配得上的上帝的孩子。
If our life is too comfortable here, if it is too nice, too easy, then we will have no need for Heaven.
如果我们在这里的生活太舒适，太美好，太轻松，那么我们就不需要天堂了。
We will have no yearning for Jesus.
我们不会渴望耶稣。
We will enjoy it too much here.
我们会过于沉溺于现世的享受。
It is because God loves us that we are often deprived, that we battle.
正因为上帝爱我们，所以我们常常被剥夺，经历争战。
A rich man does not need to pray. He does not need to ask God anything. He writes a check.
富人不需要祷告，他不需要向上帝求任何东西，他只要开张支票。
A man who has nothing, and he prays to God and he receives from nowhere, he knows God is alive.
一个一无所有的人，他向上帝祈祷，并从毫无指望的境地得到供应，他就会知道上帝是活的。
Because he knows: I was in trouble and my Father answered my prayer, and He supplied in all my needs.
因为他知道：“我遇到困难时，我的天父回应了我的祷告，供应了我一切的需要。”
Dear friends, God loves us, and that is why He's got to teach us to trust in Him.
亲爱的朋友们，上帝爱我们，这就是为什么祂必须教导我们信靠祂。
And we only learn well through what we suffer. It is because He cares for us.
我们只有通过苦难才能学得深刻，这是因为祂关心我们。
Jesus cares for you, my friend.
耶稣关心你，我的朋友。
If you are going through suffering now, if your life is difficult, and you are asking yourself the question, why is this happening to me?
如果你现在正经历苦难，如果你的生活艰难，并且你在问自己：“为什么这种事发生在我身上？”
Since I am serving the Lord, everything has gone wrong in my life.
“自从我事奉主以来，我的生活一切都出了问题。”
You know one thing, my friend: He will never leave you and He will never forsake you, and He is there watching you.
你要知道一件事，我的朋友：祂永不离弃你，永不抛弃你，祂一直在注视着你。
Will you pass the test? Will you praise Him even in the storm? Will you thank Him when you are in tribulation and when things go utterly wrong?
你会通过这场考验吗？即使在风暴中你也会赞美祂吗？当你遭遇患难、事情完全出错时，你会感谢祂吗？
Will you still say: My God knows what He is doing, and I trust Him because He can never let me down?
你仍会说：“我的上帝知道自己在做什么，我信靠祂，因为祂永远不会让我失望”吗？
Job said: Even though He slay me, yet I love Him.
约伯说：“即使祂杀我，我依然爱祂。”
Do you love Jesus that much? Trust Him, my friend.
你也爱耶稣到这种程度吗？信靠祂吧，我的朋友。
He is working perfection in us.
祂正在我们身上成就完全。
